The Story Behind Our Brand

Every great story has a beginning, and ours starts with three high school best friends—my twin sister, our best friend, and me. We grew up together, sharing dreams, adventures, and a love for fashion. Our journey took an exciting turn when we moved to the UK for our graduation.

Discovering a New World of Fashion

In the UK, we were introduced to a whole new world of fashion, particularly bodycon dresses. These dresses were a revelation—stylish, unique, and exuding confidence. While similar dresses were available in India, they weren’t as popular or accessible, and we had never come across them before.

The Spark of an Idea

When we returned to India, our birthday was just around the corner. Excited to celebrate, we set out to find the perfect birthday dresses. To our disappointment, we couldn't find anything that ticked all the boxes—good design, durable quality, and affordability. This sparked a realization: if we were struggling to find the perfect dress, surely other girls with similar tastes were facing the same challenge.

Facing Criticism and Staying Determined

With a shared vision and determination, we decided to fill this gap in the market by creating our own clothing brand. However, our journey was far from easy. Many around us criticized our idea, saying that such clothing had a very niche market in India. They believed that either cultural constraints or body consciousness would deter girls from wearing these dresses. Despite the criticism, we stayed determined.

 

 

Learning and Launching

We had no prior knowledge of how to start a clothing brand. We spent countless hours researching, exploring different fabric markets, and meeting with website designers and various other professionals. Finally, we launched our website, full of hope and excitement. But the initial response was disheartening—we didn’t get any sales and felt highly demotivated.

A Turning Point

Determined not to give up, we organized a small pop-up exhibition. To our delight, people loved our designs, and we sold 4-5 dresses of the same design in just one day. This success made us realize that maybe we were on the wrong platform. We consulted with different marketing agencies and decided to switch to a more suitable online platform. We also started running targeted ads.

 

 

Flooded with Orders

The response was overwhelming. Our ads attracted a lot of attention, and soon, we were flooded with orders. This success validated our belief in our brand and our mission. We knew we were on the right path, providing unique, high-quality, and affordable fashion to girls who, like us, had struggled to find it.

 

A Change in the Team

Soon after, due to some personal reasons, we mutually decided to split, and our best friend left the brand. Although this was a difficult decision, it allowed us to refocus and strengthen our commitment to our vision. We told people Siseraa means "say yes to the evening" in Italian, but now we can also say Siseraa means "sisters era."

Ongoing Struggles and Unwavering Hope

Despite our successes, we still struggle with daily operations and financial issues. However, we have not lost hope. We thrive on the fact that our quality is amazing and our customers love it. This keeps us motivated and driven to overcome any obstacles that come our way.
